Based between Tyrol (Austria) and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France), Aneek d’Uwu (b. 1995) is a multi- and transdisciplinary artist whose practice spans voice, performative theatre, video, text, sound, visual arts and other mediums.

Her work is driven by an intuitive, concept-based approach: ideas come first, and the medium follows.

Aneek explores philosophical, emotional, and existential themes, allowing each project to unfold in the format it needs: whether through sonic composition, live performance, experimental narrative, or visual-poetic forms.

Refusing strict categorization as solely a "voice artist" or "performer", she works fluidly across disciplines, embracing her artistic hybridity as a strength. Her pieces often emerge from internal reflections or cultural observations, and are marked by a sensitivity to language, rhythm, and resonance, both vocal and emotional.

She navigates multiple languages and cultural layers (including German, French, English, and Austrian dialects) to shape multilingual works that reflect on identity, belonging, and modern complexity. Aneek views her artistic process as a form of active thinking and sensing. She treats art as a space to respond: playfully, vulnerably, or critically, to the world. Across all mediums, the voice remains a central instrument: as language, sound, expression, and performative presence.

Aneek also acts in drama and comedy theatre. She enjoys exploring the mix between scripted plays and improvisation, as well as how character and voice come together on stage. This theatre work is an important part of her overall art, combining live performance with sound and language experiments.

Central to all of her work is the joy and pleasure of thinking and creatively performing. Aneek loves to playfully engage with philosophical, social, and personal questions, bringing them alive on stage and in her work.
